Career Reinventing in Readiness for the Post-pandemic Workplace: Lessons from UAE and Brunei

The pandemic has enhanced the future of work in the UAE and Brunei. As the pandemic resets significant work trends, Human Resource leaders must rethink employee and workforce planning, experience strategies, performance, and management. When COVID-19 forced much of the world, including the UAE and Brunei, quickly shut down offices, schools, restaurants, shops, and factories, and pushed millions of people unto makeshift workspaces, remote, no one knew how what would be the outcome. Now, as it is known a lot more, and a lot of it is pretty positive. As the COVID-19 pandemic grows, firms should consider reshaping the work environment to foremost and first, ensure compliance with legal needs and guidelines, and secondly, to align the modifying requirements of their workforce both in the prompt and the longer term. Firms in the UAE and Brunei prioritize technology deployment and re-evaluate human resources policies and incentive plans. These can be classified into three areas that firms should consider when implementing new working ways.
